Privacy policy

Effective from 21 June 2026

This policy explains how ČEKAN servis s.r.o. processes the personal data of visitors to the cekanservis.cz website and of people who contact us, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on personal data processing.

2. What data we process

  • From the contact form: name, e-mail address, phone number (optional), inquiry topic and the content of your message.
  • Operational and technical data: IP address, date and time of access, browser type and similar data automatically recorded in server logs when you visit the site.

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • Handling your inquiry and communicating with you — legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Operation, security and protection of the website (server logs) — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Compliance with legal obligations if a business relationship arises (e.g. accounting and tax records) — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Filling in the form is voluntary. However, without your name, e-mail and message we cannot handle your inquiry.

4. Recipients and processors

  • Our web hosting and e-mail provider — Site BV, Operetteweg 7, 1323 VJ Almere, the Netherlands (Dutch CoC 53309847, VAT NL850832974B01) — who technically operates the website and delivers form messages on our behalf (processor). Data is processed within the EU.
  • Google (the embedded Google Maps map — see section 5).

We do not pass personal data to other third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and third-party tools

The website uses no advertising or profiling cookies. For anonymous traffic statistics we use our own self-hosted Umami tool, which sets no cookies, does not identify individual visitors and collects only aggregate data (e.g. pages visited, traffic source, device type). This data is stored on our own server and not shared with third parties. Web fonts are likewise hosted on our own server. The website also uses one Google service:

  • Google Maps — the contact section embeds a Google map that loads from Google servers and may store cookies and process data under Google's policies.

6. Retention period

  • Inquiry data is kept for 5 years from the last contact. If a business relationship arises, accounting and tax records are kept for the periods required by law (up to 10 years).
  • Server logs are kept only for a short period for security and operational purposes.

7. Your rights

In relation to your personal data you have the right to:

  • access and a copy of your data,
  • rectification of inaccurate or completion of incomplete data,
  • erasure ("right to be forgotten"),
  • restriction of processing,
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest,
  • data portability,
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
