Čekan servis is an authorized dealer of DUC Hélices propellers, the French composite propellers with an Inconel leading edge. We supply DUC propellers for the ATEC Zephyr, Faeta and Solo and the Ekolot Topaz and Junior with Rotax 912 engines, install them and do their basic service, at Milovice airfield (LKMILO), Czech Republic.

What we do for DUC propellers

As an authorized DUC propeller dealer we provide:

  • sales of new DUC propellers
  • installation of the propeller on your aircraft
  • basic service — routine propeller checks per the manufacturer's manual

The overhaul at TBO is carried out by the manufacturer, DUC.

DUC propellers for ATEC and Ekolot

For the aircraft we service, the manufacturer's catalogue lists these propellers:

  • SWIRL-3-L (3 blades, ground adjustable) — ATEC 122 Zephyr, 212 Solo and 321 Faeta with the Rotax 912 ULS; Ekolot Junior (912 UL) and Topaz (912 UL, ULS, iS)
  • TIGERBLACK-3-R (3 blades, in-flight adjustable) — ATEC Zephyr, Faeta and Solo with the Rotax 912 ULS; Ekolot Topaz (912 ULS, iS)
  • SWIRLBLACK-3-R (3 blades, in-flight adjustable) — Ekolot Topaz (912 ULS, iS)

Do you install and service DUC propellers?

Yes. We install DUC propellers and do their basic service. The overhaul at TBO is carried out by the manufacturer, DUC Hélices.

Which DUC propeller fits the ATEC Faeta or Zephyr?

For the ATEC 122 Zephyr, 321 Faeta and 212 Solo with the Rotax 912 ULS the manufacturer lists the SWIRL-3-L (ground adjustable) and the TIGERBLACK-3-R (in-flight adjustable).

Which DUC propeller fits the Ekolot Topaz?

For the Ekolot Topaz the manufacturer lists the SWIRL-3-L (Rotax 912 UL, ULS, iS) and the in-flight adjustable TIGERBLACK-3-R and SWIRLBLACK-3-R (Rotax 912 ULS, iS).

What is the TBO of DUC propellers?

For ground-adjustable propellers on Rotax 912 and 914 engines the manufacturer states 2,000 hours or 5 years; for in-flight adjustable (hybrid) propellers 1,500 hours. At TBO the propeller goes back to the manufacturer for a full inspection. The 100-hour or annual check can, per the manufacturer, be done by the owner or an aviation workshop — we do it too.
